About the Sale

Mon, 01 Jan 0001 00:00:00 +0000

Welcome to the Porchlight Garage Sale — a small neighborhood sale of gently used household items, tools, books, and more. Everything listed here is second-hand unless noted otherwise. Browse the catalog, save favorites, and contact the seller to arrange pickup or delivery.

This site is a catalog and contact tool only. It does not process payments or place orders; availability, final price, payment, and delivery are always confirmed directly with the seller.

Sale Dates and Hours

Mon, 01 Jan 0001 00:00:00 +0000

The sale runs on weekends while items remain. Suggested hours are Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Because items are stored at a private home, please arrange a specific pickup time with the seller before visiting rather than dropping by unannounced.

Pickup Information

Mon, 01 Jan 0001 00:00:00 +0000

General area. Pickups are arranged in the greater San José area. The exact address is shared privately with the buyer once a pickup time is confirmed — it is not published on this site.

Parking. Street parking is usually available near the pickup point.

Accessibility. The pickup point is at ground level. If you have specific accessibility needs, mention them when you arrange a time and the seller will do their best to accommodate.

Payment Methods

Mon, 01 Jan 0001 00:00:00 +0000

Payment is arranged directly with the seller. Commonly accepted methods are:

Cash on pickup.
SINPE Móvil, a local mobile transfer, when enabled for a product. When you use SINPE Móvil you complete the transfer yourself and send a confirmation message; the seller verifies it manually. This site never processes, verifies, or stores any payment.

Final price and payment are always confirmed in your conversation with the seller before any money changes hands.

Contact

Mon, 01 Jan 0001 00:00:00 +0000

The easiest way to reach the seller is through the contact button on any product page, which opens a pre-filled message with the item’s name and listing ID. Sending that message does not reserve the item or place an order — the seller confirms availability, price, payment, and delivery in the conversation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Mon, 01 Jan 0001 00:00:00 +0000

Is an item still available? The status badge on each product shows Available, Reserved, Payment Pending, Sold, or Unavailable. Only Available items can be added to the cart or reserved, and availability is always reconfirmed with the seller.

Does contacting the seller reserve the item? No. Opening a message or a WhatsApp draft does not reserve anything or place an order. The seller confirms in the conversation.

Can items be delivered? Some items offer delivery (shown on the product page); others are pickup only. When delivery is offered, the buyer arranges and pays for the courier unless stated otherwise.

Terms of Sale

Mon, 01 Jan 0001 00:00:00 +0000

All items are sold as-is and second-hand unless explicitly noted as new. Product descriptions, conditions, functional status, and defects are provided in good faith to describe each item honestly, but second-hand goods carry normal wear.

Prices shown are the seller’s asking prices and are confirmed before payment. Nothing on this site constitutes a binding offer, reservation, or completed sale; a sale is agreed directly between buyer and seller.

Privacy Notice

Mon, 01 Jan 0001 00:00:00 +0000

This is a static website. By default it collects no personal data, sets no cookies, and uses no third-party trackers.

Favorites and cart. If you save favorites or add items to a cart, that information is stored only in your own browser (local storage). It never leaves your device unless you choose to act on it.

Contacting the seller. When you open a contact link or a WhatsApp draft, the listed product details, quantities, prices, and links become part of a message you control and send yourself. At that point the details are handled by whichever app you use to send the message (for example, WhatsApp), under that app’s own terms.
